I recently purchased the iPhone 4 and first thing I did was try to find a solution for the antenna problem that seemed to plague many owners including myself. The pack cost me $4.99 before shipping and took some time before I received it.

When I initially ordered it, the website promoted its use on the antenna problem. But now, they seem to have realized that it does not help at all and changed the product description saying that this is only for fun.

Countdown for Opera Mini approval (or rejection) to iPhone App store

Talk about fun publicity! Opera finally submitted Opera Mini to the iPhone App store. They also publicized a countdown on their website showing their wait for approval or rejection. Chances are that it will be rejected since it servers a similar purpose to the Safari browser. As of now, Apple rejected all applications that duplicated theirs in the phone. We’ll see in time if they make an exception.

Countdown is here

Already available for nearly every mobile platform, Opera just announced today that the company was working on an iPhone version of their famous browser. But many wonder if they will be able to past through the fences of iTunes as Apple never let another browser replace Safari on the iPhone. Will it only be released on Cydia? Curve over the iPhone 3GS

Posted: Tuesday February 9 2010 at 11:18 am

What a surprise! According to IDC, Blackberry has sold more Curves than iPhone 3GS in the last quarter of 2009. The Droid from Motorola came 3rd followed by the iPhone3G.

Many will argue that it is not fair to compare numbers of 3GS and Curve since the curve is available to 7 different carriers but still a surprise for many to see the 3GS being shadowed by the Blackberry Curve!

Please note that 5 of the top 10 position are by RIM products.

Sling not updated for AT&T?

Posted: Friday February 5 2010 at 6:27 pm

slingplayer.jpg

That’s strange, some say that Sling updated their app to make it pleasant for folks at AT&T but now Sling says they just refined it to make it suitable and says few refinements to make sure it did not interfere with the network.

Well as long it works, I guess nobody can complain about this.

AT&T Iphone users: SlingPlayer on the go!

Posted: Thursday February 4 2010 at 3:01 pm

slingplayer.jpg

Good news for the all those that were streaming SlingPlayer over WIFI. You are now allowed to stream content through 3G. It’s about time they removed this restriction, people that pay for the data should be allowed to do whatever they want and not be restricted on how they can use it. Developers made a network friendly version of SlingPlayer that folks at AT&T finally judged acceptable. No words on date but expect to see it soon!
